Why we are different

  • Our vessels were built specifically for exploring Prince William Sound and accessing the area’s beautiful beaches
  • We are family owned and operated, raised our family in PWS, and are active in organizations that protect the sound for future generations
  • Every tour allows beach landing – no other Prince William Sound day cruise does!
  • Travel with our small group tour, either with like-minded travelers or as your own group
  • Each tour is customized to our guests’ priorities. We know where to go to find what you want –  the pace of the day is up to you

What is a beach landing and why is it special?

Lazy Otter Charters explores the designated wilderness areas of Prince William Sound. This is true, raw coastal Alaska. When you step onto the beach, it seems like you are the first human ever to be there. Our beach landings are made at many different locations around the sound, depending on the time of day, tides, weather, or guests’ preference. Beachcomb, look for wildlife, admire the towering forests of spruce and hemlock, or simply sit back and admire the view.
